Park Rynie Cricket Club launched its development league for the up and coming young talent in the area. After months of training and development these youngsters are being introduced into the clubs senior structures.
Two development sides were formed. The youngsters were given an option to name their sides. They named their respective sides Park Rynie Urban Warriors and Park Rynie Young Guns.
The Urban Warriors team is made up of The Captain Ryan Naidoo, Yusef Khan, Warren Gounden, Nishein Singh, Simphiwe Nthiyane & Romano Tomlinson. The Young Guns are Captained by Kalin Naidoo and is made up of Prineshen Reddy, Luwayne Diaz, Jaiden Morgan, Sizwe Ntshali, kyle Glover & Vishen Gramoney.
Urban Warriors Captain Ryan Naidoo won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 117 runs in their 20 overs. Captain Ryan Naidoo looked good with the bat but lost his cool and played one to many attacking shots, he scored 25 before he was superbly caught on the long on boundary by Luwayne Diaz. Nihein Sing (16*runs) and Warren Gounden (12* runs) also chipped in with the bat. Luwayne and Jadin also claimed two wickets a piece to put an alt to Urban Warriors innings.
The Young Guns Innings went out with a bang when they were bamboozled by the spin of the talented YUSEF KHAN. Khan claimed four(4) wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs. Only Captain Kalin Naidoo managed to score 17 runs before he was clean bowled Khan. Prineshen Reddy and Vigen Gramoney scored 8 runs a piece. The Young Guns were bowled out for a paltry 55 runs.
The Young Guns will have to up their game if they wish to compete with the Urban Warriors.
