The colts team comprises of scholars & it is the first time they have played together as a unit. They are a talented & determined bunch who have surprised many seasoned cricketers with their never say die attitude.

The team played their first match against Park Rynie & made a more than respectable 141/10. Multitalented Wesley Poole made 23 & allrounder Aubrey Sosibo scored 21 in tough conditions. Put in to bat, Park Rynie were 61/4 after spinners Reenan Chetty with 2/5 & Vivek Rughubar with 1/1 made a breakthrough. Unfortunately the rain spoilt a potential win for the team.

Old Boys cricket club batted first against the colts & were dispensed for 49 runs in total. Wesley took 3/8 & captain Paroshan Gramony 3/9 with Brandon Kynaston taking 2 brilliant catches in the covers. The colts batted out the full 30 overs & made 128/5 with wicky/batsman Vishay Singh ending on 35 not out. He opened the batting & anchored the innings creating the platform for hard hitting Paroshan to make 23 quick runs in the last 4 overs.

Coach Andre Pretorius s very pleased with the hard work put in by all the players & although it is early in the season, believes that both teams will do extremely well in the competitions. The dedication, team spirit & determination shown by all will auger well for the future of the club.
